Class to educate professionals on policy for administering care and preventing and managing injuries and illness.
This session will describe six different methods of co-teaching with the goal of helping co-teaching pairs take full advantage of having two professionals in the classroom. Teachers will learn how to move beyond the one leads/one assists model, so that both teachers can take an active role in instruction at all times. The presenters will offer examples of co-teaching best practices and will help participants brainstorm ways that various co-teaching models can be integrated into their classrooms.
We all encounter stress in our lives. Stress, tension and negative thoughts can adversely affect health, relationships and productivity. This workshop provides an overview of the stress response, symptoms and sources of stress. Healthy suggestions are provided to combat stressors and build resiliency. A relaxation exercise will be included.
Educators’ EAP provides many benefits and services to our employees who have supervisory responsibilities. These services will be reviewed so supervisors have an understanding of all the tools available to assist them in navigating personnel issues and how the EAP can assist employees and their family members. Tools specific to supervisors and managers will also be discussed with a focus on making referrals to the EAP in the case of employee personal concerns as well as performance issues.
